Hello…

I’m Sandra and I practice Integrative Kinesiology which I studied at IKAMED in Zurich, Switzerland. My home base is now in Canada where I am using my skills and knowledge to support clients here.

It is important to me to do what I do well and to treat my clients in the best possible way. Besides Integrative Kinesiology I am trained in other systems. I work with the following major kinesiology systems in my daily practice with clients: Integrative Kinesiology by Rosmarie Sonderegger, Neuroenergetic Kinesiology by Hugo Tobar, Applied Physiology by Richard Utt and Vibrational Healing by David Corby. In addition, I complement my practice with several other therapies. I am a Registered Complementary Therapist in the field of kinesiology, certified by the OdA KT, the Swiss Working Association of Complementary Therapy.

A little about me

Originally from Switzerland, I’m a relative newcomer to Canada. Together with my husband, we relocated from Switzerland to Ottawa for work. I have two grown children, who both live in Switzerland. I miss them very much, as well as my friends. Fortunately, talking to them on the phone every week helps me forget the distance.

I am also very involved in working with search and rescue dogs. My first dog, Yuma is an older Malinois female and has become part of our family. Together, we were in the rescue organization REDOG in Switzerland, searching locations where people had gone missing. Now Yuma is retired and only trains for fun. Recently a new pup, Yellow (yes, like the colour of the sun) has joined our family. This little Malinois male is already taking his first steps as an area search and rubble search dog. He has a lot of talent, is often full of nonsense and has endless energy! When the city becomes too loud and turbulent, you’ll often find me in nature with my husband and the dogs.

In the past, I’ve also competed at the highest levels in Canoe Slalom. At the Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships and World Cup races, I learned how to deal with victories and defeats.

After retiring from competitive sports, I taught as an elementary school teacher. When my children were old enough, I trained and completed the professional certification to become a kinesiologist at the IKAMED facility in Zurich. I enjoy helping clients in their healing and find great satisfaction in supporting people along their wellness journeys.
